I Hate Fakers

Ms. Jennifer Wilbanks, her cold feet, and her "hispanic" alleged kidnappers can kiss my ass.

How many people REALLY needed help this week that her stupid selfish story took attention away from?

And who else is sick and tired of white people fucking up and blaming it on minorities? Maybe if we could get these charlatans to say that gay people kidnapped them, we would finally be universally recognized as a minority and maybe get some rights that don't depend on the wishy washy-ness of major corporations (see my earlier bitching about Microsoft).

Like Dominoes? As If.

This is good. But it doesn't seem to be a "start" or a "precedent".

With the world believing it is a cult, the Mormon Church has been able to stay out of the spotlight of religion and sex crimes. This needs to stop. People are being damaged.

Bummer the Patriot Act doesn't protect the youngest of victims.

Call To Action

Yep, another one about Microsoft. If you head over to americablog.com you can read everything there is to read about this.

Now, onto the Human Rights Campaign website and do something about it. Even if you suck at composing your own emails.

This isn't just about a huge corporation turning on their human rights stance under questionalble circumstances, it is also about the precedent it sets to other corporations in this country

Should you chose to put together all the things i've mentioned in previous posts, strange and dangerous things are happening to gay and lesbian rights all across the country.

Thanks to Kitrin for the Tip

Rob Zombie is ready to beat us over the heads again on the big screen. Please, oh, please let this one be scary more than funny.

Writing tips and ideas, so you too can write gory movies, or maybe something useful like a how to book or a religion . . . being creative and spontaneous, just as important as being holy.

Books on the Bonfire

That song, done by The Bolsoi (a band, not the ballet) popped into my head as i read this. This is not a private school decision, this is an Alabama Republican Lawmaker. They are still in the union right? They have separation of church and state down south, don't they?

You should check out The Bolshoi if you like the brit boy 80s bands, by the way.

Wow

Giving whole new meaning to my Nana's exclamations of, "Hot popping toads!" when I was a kid. I once heard that frogs can't fart, so if they get gas, they can explode. Then again, I once heard a lot of strange and not quite true things.

Oh I Can't Wait

I am completely in love with the outside of Wynn tower, it does things to the desert sun that have only been imagined, and all without blinding drivers. Soon it will be open and I can go romp through it.

More GannonGuckert Dish

rawstory.com
has new information on the comings (snicker) and goings of our favortite DC Male Escort turned fake journalist.

Is the Secret Service really this lax in every press visitor to the White House?

Star Wars

I would like to publically thank Mr. Lucas for once again releasing one of his SW movies on my birthday. This is the best present ever. And the movie had better not suck

But in other news, there are some previews at starwars.com. And I'm going to share a secret with you. If you have a pretty nice graphics program, trot on over to the Star Wars site and watch the previews. When it gets to a scene that is dark, such as the Wookie scene, pause the preview, capture the screen shot ('Print Screen' + Ctrl + c) and take it to that graphics program. If it is a wonderful program, it will have some sort of "auto color" adjustment. Using this utility, you can brighten up the darkness of the Wookie yowls into a nice photo comeplete with costume detail and background.

I guess you need to be a Wookie fan, but I am. Really, the only thing I am looking for in the new movie is the Wookies. And they'd better have more of a role than the Luxans in the Farscape final miniseries.

The reason I'm not posting the pics with the obligatory Lucasfilm rights announcement is that the images are altered, and not what was intended to be shown. And I fear Lucas. Okay? I said it.

Oh, and check your local Fox Network affiliate, they are playing "Empire Strikes Back" today.

Silence Sucks

Looking to support something a little less disciplined in your angry grrrl life?

Here's a really good idea. So good, in fact, I plan to participate. I'm nothing if not loud in my angst.

Another ExMormon Speaks Out

from ReligionNewsBlog.com:

"'I found it so surreal it was truly marvelous, like watching an episode of 'Leave It to Beaver' in which June and Ward take just a moment out of their busy day to agree that if they ever leak the family secrets, they'll hack off each other's limbs,' she writes."

Of course the temple ceremony has been changed recently to exclude some of the creepier things from it.
